How to Log into Salesforce/Field Service (Mobile)

The first step in downloading Salesforce & Field Service is to open the Google Play Store.

Once here there is three apps you will need to download:

  1. Salesforce
  2. Field Service
  3. Salesforce Authenticator
    You will find the apps as below:

Once you have these three apps downloaded the first one you will need to open is Salesforce.

You will then need to select “Use Custom Domain” and you will need to enter the following domain (Case Sensitive) “activ8solarenergies123” and press continue.

Your page will then change to the following:

You will already have received an email to reset your password so all you need to do now is log in with your Activ8 email & the password you set. (YourEmail@activ8energies.com)
When you log in you will receive an email with a code to verify your login, make sure to check “Don’t ask again” for this and enter your code.

When you enter the code you will then receive the following screen:

Select the second option “Use the Salesforce Authentication mobile app”

This will then open the following screen:

You need to open the Salesforce Authentication App and it will bring you to this screen:

Select Allow and then swipe from right to left to clear all of these screens.

If prompted for location permission, grant this by clicking allow or grant permission for all time
When you open the app you will get the following:

Make sure you tap add account

When you press “Copy to Clipboard” under this phrase, after this you can return back to your Salesforce app

Once you paste the phrase here press on “Connect” and this will start to link your account to authenticator.

You will be given the following screen watch for the top of the screen where you will need to tap on the notification which will prompt you to the following screen.

Tap on connect and approve any other permission requests.
After that you are logged in and will need to accept the terms and conditions (note this may close the app but you will need to just reopen it)

Section 2 Field Service
Before we open Field Service first you need to set a Pin on your tablet (if you do not have one already) To do this open the “Settings” (Gear Icon) in your app screen, the exact location will vary on how many apps are installed on your tablet.

When you are here tap the magnifying glass and search “Lock Screen”

If you have no password on your tablet you will be met with the following screen

Tap “Screen lock type” and next you will have to choose the security type.

Choose “PIN” as your authentication type. (Contact your manager for your suggested password)

Tap done on the above picture where you will see a black & separate blue bar in the top of the screen

Tap “Cancel” and your pin should be set.

Open the Field Service App

Here you will be greeted with a similar login to the Salesforce App login and the steps are the exact same.

Tap on “Use Custom Domain” and enter “activ8solarenergies123”

Again you need to enter your Salesforce details YourEmail@activ8energies.com

Once you log in you will be prompted for your One Time Code (OTC) from Microsoft Authenticator

After you enter this code you will then need to allow location and privacy. This will be explained in the next few steps. Here you will be also asked for the tablet PIN, if you do not have this set up you will receive the following error:

Tap Next when prompted below:

Now you will be presented with 3 options and none of them are the correct option so if you tap “While using the app” this will then bring up the next error which we can rectify.

You should get the following screen:
Tap “Go To App Settings”

After tapping the above you should get the following options:

Here you need to select “Allow all the time” then you need to press the “<-“ in the top left hand corner of the screen and this will save the settings.
That is all the steps to setting up the apps.
